FOUNDER & CEO
Michael L. Council
Michael L. Council, Chief Executive Officer of EC Technology, is a distinguished Cybersecurity and Project Management Consultant. His certifications include CISSP, CISM, PMP, CEH, and ITIL, underscoring his expertise in the field.
Professional Experience
Mr. Council’s consultancy spans renowned organizations such as Verizon, NATO ACT, Stryker Medical, Truist Bank, Navy-Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), and MARTA. He excels as a Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) expert, assessing controls for 3rd Party vendor contracts exceeding $2.5 Billion.
In the Federal workspace, he managed international business contracts totaling over $50 million USD as a Missile Defense Program Manager at the United States European Command Headquarters.
Military Background and Education
Retired as an Army Chief Warrant Officer Four with over 25 years of service, Mr. Council has 15 years of cybersecurity experience. His educational background includes an MS in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland (Global Campus) and a BS in Information Technology Management.
A distinguished member of professional organizations, including Phi Beta Sigma Inc., ISC2, and the Project Management Institute (PMI), Michael L. Council’s leadership forms the backbone of EC Technology’s commitment to excellence in cybersecurity and project management.
